According to Larry Van Klein of Van Klein Property Management, a tenant recently reported a problem with the sliding glass door leading to their balcony. After the contractor inspected the balcony, a warning was issued.

According to Van Klein, the engineers said “everything was fine” and the contractor’s inspection found “no major problems.” He said there was no immediate security issue and it was just a “precautionary measure”. Even though the notice says not to, it’s fine for tenants to use their balconies as long as they’re not crowded, Van Klein said.

“It is not okay to have one or two students on the balconies. We don’t want large groups jumping up and down,” Van Klein said.

Call the police on your own party? When it gets out of hand or becomes dangerous, sure. If things get out of control, call the authorities.
