Sg Property Management Milwaukee – Developer Scott Jenke has released renderings, including floor plans, for his firm’s new apartment building under construction on Bay View’s Main Street.
The BV+ (pronounced Bay View Edition) will be a 17-unit apartment building consisting of 15 “micro studios” and two one-bedroom units. The first floor will have a commercial unit and a live-work unit.

A construction team has hit the home vibe on that redevelopment project. Formerly home of the Alchemist Theatre, the new building will have four apartments available for lease on the second floor and Honeypee Restaurant will move it blocks south from its current home. A courtyard will occupy the space between the two buildings.
Construction on the BV+ began in May and the building’s foundation walls are now visible. Geoffs Construction is leading the general contract on the new building.
Genke’s firm, SG Property Development + Management, designed the new building with Joel Agaki of Striegle-Agaki Studio serving as the architect of record.
Micro-studio units are represented with a fold-up bed, similar to the convertible bed that New Land Enterprises now uses in many of its new buildings at Walker Point and the Lower East Side.

The building’s exterior looks decidedly different from the adjacent King Building which SG redeveloped in 2016 to a similar mixed-use format, but the massing follows the same principles. There are 14 apartments in that building, including live-work units and two street-facing commercial spaces.
In February Genke said rentals at BV+ would start at $995 per month. The commercial space on the first floor will be approximately 1,200 square feet.
