Scenic Coast Property Management Cambria – NO PETS ARE ALLOWED. This vacation apartment is located on the serene waterfront overlooking San Simeon Beach next to Pico Creek. San Simeon is the gateway to Big Sur and a perfect “home base” if you plan to travel scenic Highway 1, the Elephant Seal Sanctuary, or visit the famous Hearst Castle. Just 5 minutes south of picturesque Cambria, which is known for its soulful charm, galleries, shopping and restaurants. Away from the hustle and bustle of a more populated seaside area, this is a quiet place where people come to relax and repair. Just steps to the beach from the back door, easy access for long romantic walks on the sand. You are a short walk from the restaurants and shops of San Simeon. Pets are not allowed. This is my 4th time renting a property. It’s a very simple process and every property has been amazing! Very clean and well maintained. The locations are exactly as described!! Cambria and San Simeon are absolutely the most wonderful places to visit. It’s not too crowded and they have a lot to offer. The apartment was in the best location for walking the beach and venturing out to the tide pools to see the wildlife. Just a short trip to Hearst Castle and Elephant Seals! I strongly recommend this place for rest and relaxation!!!

Highway 1 Road Trip: What To Do In Santa Cruz, Cambria And Avila Beach
We had a wonderful long weekend in San Simeon. The property is right on the water with exceptional views from every part of the living/dining room. The location makes it easy to access anything you might want to do in the area – Hearst Castle, elephant seals, the lighthouse, or strolling the shops along Cambria’s main street. The property was very clean and the kitchen well stocked with cookware and utensils. There is no beach, per se. The area near the water is rocky and usually covered with water. But it’s a great sight!
I picked up the Camhria documents and keys from the lock box. Very convenient, although it would be useful to include instructions on how to use the lock when closing. It took me a while to figure out that I had to rotate the numbers to lock. The keys were marked with a letter for the unit instead of the number on the door. Confused again and easy fix.
Great to have a carport next to the apartment. Large, clean and well stocked. Very private and lovely on the beach. Excellent for collecting wood and stones. A few small restaurants within easy walking distance. We really enjoyed our stay!
Perfect mother/daughter getaway. Most places we stay offer coffee; not here; such a convenience after the trip not to have to run to the store.
Br, 1 Bath House
My wife and I needed to get away and relax and this place met those needs. It is truly a beachfront property. We enjoyed the ocean view every day except when we went out to eat at the local restaurants. It was wonderful to sleep at night and wake up in the morning to the sounds of crashing waves. The dining room table is perfectly placed next to the large windows overlooking the blue surf of the Pacific Ocean. It was wonderful to enjoy morning coffee at the dining room table and then wander out onto the outdoor patio. This place is one of several units in a condominium complex. It looked like there were only a few units occupied. This small complex and the surrounding area was relatively quiet. People were friendly but kept to themselves.
The only minor downside is that the WiFi is laggy if you want to stream TV shows to your devices. Luckily one of my phones has TMobile service which I turned into a hotspot and it allowed me to stream video and music without buffering. First world problems, no!
Overall, this unit was fabulous for both of us and allowed me to recharge after a hectic few months.
Absolutely perfect location – both the cliff house with amazing views and close proximity to so many areas to explore such as wine tasting in Paso Robles, dining at Avila Beach, Morro Bay, Cayucos, Solvang, Santa Barbara and , of course, Cambria.
Piedras Blancas Light Station
We so enjoyed our three night stay at this beautiful property. It’s conveniently located right on the bluff above the beach with a steep but very user-friendly, newer staircase that gives access to the almost private beach with only a few other small buildings along the shore. The sounds of the ocean in this location were constant and soothing. The unit is well equipped with high quality furniture, very nice beds and lots of blankets etc. It has probably the nicest towels I have ever seen in a rental unit and the bathrooms are very modern. We look forward to renting it again in the future the next time we venture this way. While the famous Hearst Castle is still closed to the public due to the pandemic, there are still plenty of things to do and see nearby, such as the Hearst Ranch Winery and their beautiful wines and beautiful setting right on the ocean. The small town of Cambria and Moonstone Beach are just 3 miles south with all the cute shops and great restaurants. Also, being there in mid-September brought us glorious weather with very little fog…
We are a couple in our mid 70’s living in northern Marin County and have rented beach houses up and down the California coast just this year and others in the past. This year we stayed in Santa Cruz, Avila Beach and Moss Landing. Each home was rented through VRBO and each was very nice, and we can now add this San Simeon location to our list of places we would like to return to. The staff at Scenic Coast Property Management were very easy to work with and all the instructions for access and care of the house were quite clear. About a week before the rental started we decided we needed to stay an extra night so I asked if that was possible and SCPM was quick to respond to my request.
The location was spectacular. If you want to be right on the ocean, this is the place. Down a flight of stairs and right on a great beach to walk on. Just a short walk to the south were tide pools filled with lots of different ocean creatures! I even saw dolphins! Really lovely to sit on the terrace and enjoy the crashing of the waves. So relaxing!
This place is a gem! It has everything you need for a relaxing stay at the seaside. Well stocked kitchen, easy beach access, incredible beach, very attentive management company. When I turned off the light, they were there in an hour. We will stay here again!
Beach House Hideaway
Location, location, location. I’m sure I’d stay here even if the place fell to the ground. Fortunately, the owners have taken this place to heart and are keeping it up to date with major improvements. I guess the kitchen is next on the list. We have been staying at this place for over 30 years and we never get tired of that view!
We felt the pictures accurately represented what to expect in terms of view, decor, etc. However, many things in the unit seemed to work properly. The fireplace broke twice while I was there. Maintenance came and fixed it during the day, it worked for about 30 minutes and stopped working. We were disappointed that we didn’t get to have a bonfire at night. There is a TV in the master bedroom, but no cable, roku, etc., so the TV is basically useless unless you bring your own streaming. The propane tank for the grill was so rusty we were afraid to use it so we ordered instead. The unit is also downstairs and we had a very noisy upstairs neighbor who kept stomping on the floor. I could go on, but it’s mostly first world problems. We might go back, but we’ll look for other options first. Despite the drive, we really liked the rental company and found them to be very efficient, professional and helpful. I would definitely look to rent with them first over others.
When I first arrived there was a bad smell inside, I realized it was the carpet, the worst room was the master bedroom, everything should be replaced. The pans are old as is the initial condition of the unit, but the location is great.
My family stayed here for a small family holiday and had a great time enjoying the beach and the wonderful views of the central coast. The location is fantastic!
