Sage Door Property Management – Launched in 2018, Sage Door Group, LLC strives to be the best real estate company in the Kansas City area. Founded by owner/broker Nicki Thiessen, we pride ourselves on being a company that works extremely hard to maintain a reputation for integrity and excellence in our daily practices. Nicki Thiessen, owner and broker of Sage Door Group, was motivated to create something that would help people find better housing solutions by standing her company up with integrity. She began her career in real estate as a mortgage loan originator more than 20 years ago. With her love of numbers and data analysis, she became licensed as a real estate appraiser and in 1998 started a successful real estate appraisal company. When her family moved, she sold her business but continued in real estate and was licensed as a Certified Real Estate Appraiser in 5 states; giving her a wide range of conditions for marking. In 2016, Nicki received her realtor license in the state of Missouri and began flipping houses, buying rental properties, and helping friends and neighbors buy and sell their homes. In 2018, she continued her education and obtained her Missouri Broker’s License. Her love and passion for all things real estate grows every day and she is excited to share her knowledge with other realtors, investors, homeowners, staff and anyone who will listen! Nicki and her husband live in Grain Valley and are active in the lives of their 4 children. Their oldest son attends William Jewell, where he plays football and studies law and politics. Their daughter played AAA hockey for several years and is now pursuing a career in Real Estate with ambitious goals. Their youngest 2 children attend Grain Valley schools and are very involved in sports including baseball, football and basketball. Nicki and her family enjoy summer vacations together, attend sporting events (of course!) and rarely relax at home together. Nicki believes that faith in God should be the foundation of family, business and all things. This belief along with her passion for real estate and work ethic created the Sage Door Group!

Brian Stanke is the Vice President of our company and has a passion for fixing things. With over 25 years of industry experience, he serves our company with knowledge and a friendly smile. Brian is very meticulous in his work: he ensures that every job associated with his name is completed to the absolute best. Looking for the thrill of thrift! When he’s not working on various projects in the office or at one of our rental properties, you can find him soaking up life by the lake or enjoying his Harley Davidson with his amazing wife Gina, two daughters and new grandson.

Alicia Sasyk has always had a heart for people. She lives in Blue Springs with her husband and 3 young children. When she is not in the office or driving the little ones around for activities and sports, she can usually be found serving in her church in youth ministry and missions; local and foreign. Alicia and her husband traveled on several missions to South America where she fell in love with other cultures. Her fun and energetic spirit will make you feel like you have a friend in the real estate world to help you through the sometimes stressful process!
As a new agent, Adrian tries to learn something new with each client. With an enthusiastic personality, he is always ready for any task thrown at him. When he became an agent, his goal was to help and guide people through some of their larger and most important investments. When not in the office, Adrian enjoys running, spending time with friends and family, and hitting the gym. Interesting fact: His body has a built-in alarm clock!
Aylah loves coming to work every day and has a positive impact on the lives of our clients. She recently made the transition to the property management side of our company with investor relations. She is extremely patient and well organized which is ideal for her day to day operations and ensures that owners are well looked after when they come to us for management. Aylah is also a licensed real estate agent in the state of Missouri! When she’s not at work, you can find her playing board games with her family, fiancé Michael, their dog Sampson, cats Lee and Daisy, and sweet puppy Cash!
Connor’s humor and optimism will ensure a smile every day in the office. He is very determined and hardworking and provides the company with the analytical knowledge that is essential in this industry. He graduated from the University of Arkansas with a bachelor’s degree in finance with a minor in information systems and is also an alumnus of Lambda Chi Alpha and Gamma Chi Chapter. When he’s not working, you can find Connor playing cards or attending sporting events.

Derek is a hard worker with a great drive to get things done. He likes to see things come together and describes himself as an introverted people-person; he loves being around people, although he can get tired easily (sometimes!). When he’s not in the office, you can find him making and playing music of almost any genre. Interesting fact: Derek can play the box to almost any tune!
Hunter’s energetic and outgoing personality brings a fresh, youthful feel to Realty. In 2016, he became the 4th grade state football champion and 2017 4th grade champion for his school. She has a 3-year-old Australian Shepherd; Luke and a 4-year-old basset hound; Paisley at home. When he’s not in the office, you can find him fishing, hanging out with friends, or enjoying life by the lake. Interesting fact: Hunter is left-handed!
Jaren is extremely driven with high energy and passion for the game of baseball. He has a great history with the game, coaching 6 years of college ball, 5 high school and 8 years working with major and minor league players in the off season. He attended Adrian College to play baseball and major in elementary education. He also earned a master’s degree from the University of Findlay in human resources. His goal is to impact the lives of as many people as possible by being able to teach each player life lessons through the great game of baseball.
With an upbeat attitude and a drive to always do the right thing, Kayla is exactly the kind of person you would want as your administrative assistant. With her history and prior knowledge in real estate, she is always prepared for anything that may come her way. He has a passion for helping people and helping turn their dreams into reality. When she’s not in the office, she can be found at sporting events with her family, which includes her partner Jaren and son Ryder. She believes in Jesus Christ and loves to help others in any way she can, which makes her a great addition to our team.

With over 11 years of real estate management experience from Florida to Missouri, Krystel brings a wealth of insight and dedication to her role. Her experience working with the Housing Authority and Section 8, as well as conventional multi-family housing, has added to her knowledge of real estate management and its fast-track processes. Krystel is on her way to becoming a licensed Realtor in an effort to continue her pursuit of knowledge while advancing her career here with us at Sage Door.
When not working or studying, you can find her spending time with her son and fiancé on any outdoor adventure including fishing, hiking, hiking, and camping to name a few. Family time also includes game nights or a good movie with their dogs Clyde and Abba and cat Lunito.
Natasha feels motivated to work every day knowing that she is building a better life for her family. She is very funny and honest, both qualities perfect for Real Estate! When she’s not in the office, you can find her remodeling her old farmhouse or spending time with her family (including her lab, Raylan, and Chihuahua, Mia). Fun Fact: Natasha’s hidden talent is problem solving!
