Safekeys Property Management – Clark County Parks and Recreation was organized by the Board of County Commissioners in 1963 to assess the community’s recreational needs. With more than 50 years of service and 300 days of sunshine annually in the rear-view mirror, Clark County Parks and Recreation remains a vibrant organization working to identify and provide recreational experiences for residents and visitors. Clark County Parks and Recreation is home to indoor and outdoor activities.
In total, the department provides 16 urban recreation and community centers to Southern Nevada, including three centers dedicated only to seniors; seven water parks with 14 pool facilities and five indoor, year-round pools; 10 skate parks, seven dog parks and more than 100 public parks with everything from picnic facilities to ball fields, playgrounds and water features. The department provides recreation services in the rural areas of: Laughlin, Searchlight, Cal-Neve-Arie, Moapa Valley, Moapa, Bunkerville, Indian Springs, Sandy Valley and Goodsprings. Amenities include recreation centers, pools and more! The department’s programs include aquatic classes, sports, special events, special interest classes and a before and after school enrichment program called Safeki. When school is not in session, several camps and programs abound.

Clark County Parks and Recreation is home to world-class specialty facilities found nowhere else in Nevada. The Clark County Shooting Complex is a unique facility offering 178 acres of controlled shooting space for rifle, shotgun, pistol and bow and arrow enthusiasts. One of the county’s oldest facilities, Camp Lee Canyon has welcomed thousands of adults and youth to its historic overnight camp facility in the cool air of Lee Canyon, northwest of the Las Vegas Valley, since 1936. Located in the heart of the 3,000-acre Clark County Wetlands Park, the Wetlands Nature Center is one of the county’s finest facilities. The Nature Center is dedicated to providing ecological and recreational learning experiences about the delicate and vivid riparian ecosystem found in wetlands. The park offers beautiful, scenic walks along many trails and waterways.

The department is proud of its Nevada heritage and displays it in three museums – the Cannon Aviation Museum, located at McCarran International Airport; The Searchlight Museum and Clark County Museum, which includes a train depot, exhibits and Heritage Street, where several historic Clark County homes and a candlelit wedding chapel have been restored and await those eager to learn. Other department facilities include Horseman’s Park, which pays homage to Nevada’s western heritage, with frequent equestrian events, Dog Fanciers Park, which offers a regional dog park facility open for daily use and reservations for groups or shows, and hosts several recreational events, including the Clark County Fairgrounds. Clark County is the nation’s 14th largest county, home to 70 percent of Nevada’s population and covering 8,012 square miles — an area larger than New Jersey. To cover that amount of ground and serve residents, Clark County Parks and Recreation is always introducing new and fun activities and special events to keep residents and visitors coming back for more. Registration Instructions: Please log in to your account (or create an account if you don’t have an account, then log in) and follow the steps as noted below. If you receive the message “Family members must take at least one prerequisite,” it means you have not paid the $10 registration/participation fee (Step 2). You must complete Step 2 before you can move on to Step 3, where you will be able to select the days/sessions you wish to register and pay for your child to attend SafeKey from the calendar.
Please register each child at the appropriate site/school at the Safeki participation fee ($10 registration per child), the prerequisite requirement is met by selecting/marking the participation fee.

Secure payments will be accepted online and in person at all Clark County recreation centers beginning July 18, 2022 for the 2022-2023 school year.
Safekey is a pre-paid program and a description of the program is provided below: Clark County Parks & Recreation Safekey is a before and after school recreation based program. It is offered to students in grades K-8 at participating schools. Safekey provides a healthy environment where participants are engaged, including indoor/outdoor individual and small group games, arts and crafts, our CCPR reading program, and providing an afternoon snack; Designed to enhance your child’s social development. Clark County Safeki does not provide one-on-one care.
Safeki does not operate when school is not in session (teacher training, winter break, spring break, etc.). Safeki participants are offered a great alternative at several recreation centers in Clark County. Click here for a list of Clark County Community Centers.
