Rick Wennerstrom Property Management – Richard E. “Rick” Wennerstrom, 71, of Lancaster, passed away Saturday, April 30, 2022, at his home surrounded by his loving family. Born in York, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Eric and Beatrice (Storm) Wennerstrom. He was the loving husband of Carol (Harsh) Wennerstrom for over 51 years.
He began his career managing an apartment complex for over 26 years and then started his own business in 2009 known as Rick Wennerstrom’s Property Management LLC. In 2021, he retired and passed the business on to his son, Rich, who continues to own and operate it.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Sheri Lynn Heckler (John), a son, Richard Douglas “Rich” Wennerstrom (Michelle), both of Lancaster. Also surviving are four grandchildren, John Jr., Devin, Morgan, Rachel and his siblings, Victoria Hess (Jay) of York and David Wennerstrom of Leola, PA. She was preceded in death by her sister, Darlene Wennerstrom.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 7, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Charles F. Snyder Jr. at the funeral home and crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA 17543. Burial will be private. Family and friends will be received at the funeral home on Saturday from 2-2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Rick’s memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

Gunveig and Estrid never had the chance to meet him, but from what was known about him, he would have been a worthy person to inherit and take care of his grandfather’s homestead in Vepo, Finland. But things turned out differently.
Johan’s family met him at family reunions in the US. Maj-Gret and Ken also met him and his family.

I learned of Rick’s passing today; I spent many happy hours at Rick’s house after visiting his son Rich for 4 years. My heart goes out to Carol, Rich and Sheri…they are a wonderful family and I have so many memories of good times spent with them on the weekends while in college. I am so sorry for your loss. I worked for Manor Twp Police for 38 years and Rick was the manager of Conestoga West Apts. He was always very helpful and supportive of the police department and just a great guy.
Rick saved our asses when we first came across a rental property and we were so grateful. Over the years we worked with him, we got to know him as a kind, thoughtful and understanding man with the patience of a saint. He was always a pleasure to work with and will be missed. We keep his family in our thoughts and prayers.
In 2020, Rick allowed me to go to work with my mother every day. He was the best person I could ever imagine when he passed away last Saturday. I was shocked that I love him so much and he did so much for me in the last years, I know he was the best grandfather in my life 💔 Senice he is unknown I will always love him.
