An Austin-based developer presented plans to the Bastrop City Council Tuesday night for a proposed 1,200-acre residential and commercial development in nearby western Bastrop County, Texas. 21 and FM 812.
Creekside by Lifeside, to be developed by CTX Management Holdings, will dedicate about 70 acres to commercial development, more than 560 acres to single-family housing, plus additional space for manufactured homes, townhomes and multi-family development, according to the land plan. The development will include many family-friendly amenities such as resort-style pools, playgrounds and more than 250 acres of parks and open spaces.
Included in the development proposal, as presented Tuesday night, will be a future request from the city to approve the creation of two municipal utility districts to finance the project. The project is proposed within the extra-territorial jurisdiction of the city.
