From rafting down the Cheat River to rock climbing at Coopers Rock to antiques shopping, there’s a good reason why Morgantown is West Virginia’s most popular destination – add West Virginia University to that and the reasons get more impressive. Morgantown, located along the Monongahela River, offers great views of Appalachia – especially from viewpoints such as Dorsey Knob. This park covers 71 acres and the mountain is 1,398 feet high.

The walls of the apartment are THIN and until you are blessed with the saints as neighbors it will be hard. Parking is always difficult and most of the neighbors are NOT friendly. The landlord is usually responsive but does not take action when there is a problem. Maintenance is very responsive but also very loud and doesn’t take every issue seriously. Very expensive for what you get, you can rent a house for a little more than the 2 bedroom apartment costs. If you have any health problems then unfortunately this is not the place for you. It is also not a good place for small pets or children, there are dangerous dogs that the owners do not always have control over. If you don’t want to live in fear, I’ll look for something closer to Morgantown.

Management was and still is sub-standard, even in sub-standard cases. Anyone who lives in Morgantown knows these are the cheapest in the area. Along with that comes all this neglect and disrespectful attitude towards everyone who lives here, no matter what your situation. Expect to be treated like garbage.

I’m not saying it lightly, the walls here are thin, I can hear every step up and down here, hear every conversation from all the surrounding 8 units, above, below, left, right and all 4 diagonals. And if the music is playing, everyone knows, and especially if your neighbors are promiscuous, you’ll know. The old housekeeper didn’t do anything, then we switched to a reality where everything went digital, a month later they connected to the birgo which is outside of PA so nothing had been done before but now there is an even bigger excuse for them not to do anything because are in 2 hours. Every breed of dog goes here that I wouldn’t normally get along with if not for the fact that there are people here with aggressive dogs who have attacked people and the police always say it’s on private property so I have to contact the owner who is nothing to do with he doesn’t, but says he will. There is a pitbull that tried to attack me twice and if it was a kid in my situation it could have ended in death if you have kids don’t take chances if you like peace and quiet or you like to sleep no Don’t move here and if you expect your deposit refunded, I’ve never heard a person who lived here regain it so well.

Our dog is home trained and we were one of the few tenants who carried bags and cleaned up after our dog on walks. After we moved out, the owner sent us invoices for the carpet replacement, because our “dog was pissing everywhere in the apartment.” We’ve never even worn shoes on the carpet, so it is quite offensive to suggest that we lived in our dog’s non-existent dirt. The upstairs neighbor had an overcrowded toilet last year and water ran into our apartment. We then asked for the carpet to be replaced and were told no. The owner said the carpet was fine and didn’t need to be replaced. I can only guess that our bail was to replace the damage. After reading a lot of reviews elsewhere, don’t bother cleaning up when you move out. You will not get a refund on your deposit anyway. Other trouble: – The gaps in the parking lot are huge. – People going in and out of development go very fast. I’m surprised no one was hit. -Some decks / porches have garbage and rotting food. The owner sends out clutter threats but does nothing about it. -Most people don’t clean up after their dogs. Be careful where you go. -Some people let their dogs run without a leash. – The garbage can is always full and garbage writhes everywhere. -The walls are THIN. If your neighbors smoke in theirs (and they certainly smoke), your nice, clean apartment will smell like cigarettes. And if your neighbors run a nursery in their apartment, kids running around and hitting walls will throw things off your walls. -No salt on sidewalks and sidewalks in winter. They also don’t clean the sidewalks. You need to buy a shovel. -Minimum snow removal in winter. Cars fell into a ditch trying to leave the complex. -No assigned parking, but Heaven will help if you take someone else’s place. People will place furniture in parking spaces to save space during the day. – There were centipedes and millipedes in our unit. – The dryer vent was not connected to anything. The only positive thing about this place was the location. There were really nice views and it is close to shopping malls. I still highly recommend living elsewhere if you take care of your belongings, want little noise and want to be treated with any respect.

They are not bad on their own, but they are bland and small. It is about eight to nine hundred square feet. Very small even for a family of two, unless you both plan to have very little in the apartment. There are one and two bedrooms, but the ceilings are really low in the two bedrooms and very high in the one bedroom. If you have a problem, it is very difficult to contact her. It would be better to spend the money on solving the problem and take it out of the rent.

It was all and more that I was looking for. Open floor plan and 3 decks for 2 bedrooms. More space n storage than any apartment I have viewed! Really amazing.

Very nice and reasonable in Morgantown. One of the few pet-friendly. The location is very close to hospitals, restaurants and the interstate. Nice size decks with. The only downside is road maintenance. The pot holes haven’t been repaired since I moved in 5 months.
