The main level is awash with natural sunlight streaming in from the windows that overlook the lake and illuminating the open floor plan. Although guests will be tempted to venture outside, the great room offers plenty of comfortable seating anchored by a large flat screen TV and sound bar (perfect for games, Masters Week or for unapologetic fans of Hallmark Christmas movies) and ‘ a wood stove. During warm months, two heard ceiling fans help keep things comfortable. The great room opens to the screened porch, where guests can enjoy the beauty of the natural surroundings without the hassle of bug spray. A wall-mounted flat-screen TV allows viewing inside or outside, and for those who want to eat outside or just relax on the lounge chairs, the outdoor deck is the perfect spot. Steps away is the gourmet kitchen with new stainless steel Viking appliances including a double electric convection oven perfect for a crowd. And speaking of crowds, there are several dining areas available: a formal front-facing enclave for 8, a more intimate 4-seat breakfast nook overlooking the lake, and 4 plush bar stools at the kitchen island. Indoor seating, alone, accommodates 16! Just off the kitchen is the elegant master suite. It offers a private entrance to the upper deck and boasts a queen-size bed, wood-burning stove, flat-screen TV, expansive walk-in closet and en-suite bathroom with double sinks, bathtub and glass-enclosed walk-in shower with rain shower. head. The opposite main level wing has two guest bedrooms (one queen, one queen) with en-suite bathrooms. Also on the main level is a powder room and a mud room with a new washer and dryer combo. Sitting by the beach you will find a wooden rack with 6 kayaks to explore the lake! There is also a private dock that attracts anglers of all skill levels, and watercraft are just minutes away. For kids or kids at heart, a playroom above the garage is too much to resist. It houses a pool table, foosball table, arcade game and television. With detail and comfort throughout, Lake Escape at Oconee meets every checklist for relaxed luxury, and guests may find few reasons to go past the driveway during their stay.
