“I’m a little different. I see my employers personally. I know them all as individuals. And I treat them the way I treat my children,” Gray said, laughing. “I have never charged a late fee.”
“I have never charged them any back fees or anything like that because I feel you should make enough of your rent,” he continued, “and you shouldn’t penalize people who are there because they can’t pay on time. . It’s just a personal belief.”
“We try to keep everything in-house,” Gray said. “If someone calls, we try to get there right away. And if we can’t, we’ll get it sorted within a day or two. We’re, basically, dealing with our maintenance issues.
