Developer, founder and principal of The NWV Group, Mark has been involved in construction and real estate in the Portland Market for the past 25 years. He is a native Oregonian with an extensive history of green development, innovative construction and property management both large and small. Mark received his B.A. in economics from Macalester College in St. Paul, Minnesota before returning to the Portland area after college. Mark’s four children keep him busy with a variety of activities, and in his spare time, Mark and his wife Tarah run a local nonprofit, The Northwest Collaborative, that focuses on helping victims of human trafficking.

Alex has managed all NWV Group marketing and leasing activities for over eight years. He is the main point of contact for NWV’s prospective clients and oversees all property and business branding and advertising as well as leading the company’s leasing team. Born and raised in Portland, he received his B.A. in English from Occidental College in Los Angeles before returning to the Pacific Northwest. Alex enjoys hiking, camping and nature photography throughout Oregon and Washington and spending time with his family in town.
Ruben handles all day-to-day real estate operations at NWV Group. He brings years of experience working in real estate management, compliance and affordable housing. Before joining NWV, Ruben worked for both Home Forward and Guardian real estate services. Ruben is a licensed real estate manager in the state of Oregon and holds a Low Income Tax Certification from Quadel. He attended Oregon State University and has a bachelor’s degree in psychology. Ruben grew up in the Portland area.
Lisa manages the accounting team and oversees all day-to-day operations. She communicates with property owners about accounting, reporting, financial statements and more. She has over 25 years of accounting experience in multiple industries and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration with an emphasis in accounting from Washington State University. Outside of work, she enjoys sailing and scuba diving across the Pacific Northwest and spending quality time with her grandson.
Derrick is the Principal of the NWV Group. Designing, developing and investing in efficient, innovative projects has fueled his passion for real estate and team building for over a decade. Derrick began his real estate journey as an intern while attending Portland State’s School of Business and earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Management and Leadership. After graduation, he joined Northwest Ventures Group and MJP Management, becoming a partner in both companies, now NWV Group. During this time, he has been hands-on from site acquisition and design development to rights, construction management, marketing and property management. As an industry leader and decision maker, his goal is to bring passion and experience to help NWV Group grow and empower our employees, customers, partners and the communities in which we serve. Derrick’s wife and daughter inspire him to be the best husband, father, friend and businessman he can be and are the foundation of his success and passion. His family loves living in Portland with their dog Buba Bean (5lb albino Chihuahua) and cat Carrots (orange tabby cat) in the home they both designed and built together while pregnant with their daughter.
