The Malone family’s legacy in Maine real estate began back in 1960, when Ronald Malone launched his career as a sales agent with the Glenwood Agency. His wife Helen soon joined the industry as an agent with the Star Agency. In 1970 with 15 years of experience between them, the Malones decided to open the doors to their own residential real estate company: Malone Real Estate.
Maintaining rental properties was soon a family business. Over the years, Joe and Mark Malone helped their parents by painting walls and mowing lawns. Little did the brothers know yet that the real estate business would become a lifelong career for both of them.

Years later, with a degree and background in criminal justice, Joe Malone turned his focus to Maine’s commercial real estate market, realizing it was poised for rapid growth. He followed his passion for real estate development and investment and joined the family business in 1983. Mark Malone later transitioned from his career in banking to officially joining the family profession.
