Amanda McCauley was promoted to Vice President of Operations and Leasing for our Las Vegas portfolio. Amanda joined in 2013 and is responsible for the leasing and management of the entire Las Vegas portfolio, totaling 10 million square feet, under the direction of the senior vice president of the region. Amanda has over 20 years of experience in the real estate industry, working in both residential and commercial real estate. Prior to that, Amanda worked in leasing and property management in the Chicagoland area and Beverly Hills. Amanda is a graduate of DePaul University and an active member of CCIM, NAIOP, and BOMA Las Vegas.

Lisa Rummel was promoted to Vice President of Operations – West Side. Lisa has spent nearly two decades managing mixed-use assets and industrial parks in and around Oregon and Washington. Lisa joined in 2001 and now leads a team that manages a portfolio of 1.7 million square feet of commercial real estate ranging from office, multi-family and industrial flex properties. Previously, Lisa worked for Trummel Crew, Salinas Investments, Unico Properties and Norris, Baggs & Simpson. She has served on numerous boards, including the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) of Oregon, Clean & Safe, and the Citizens Crime Commission.

Emily Matza was promoted to assistant vice president of Westside Leasing. Emily will oversee the leasing efforts for the company’s industrial and office properties in Beaverton and West Portland. Emily has worked as a broker in the commercial real estate industry for 14 years, three of which have been spent as He earned a Bachelor of Science in Finance and Marketing from Portland State University.
Michele Micciche was promoted to Assistant Vice President of Operations Downtown Portland. Michael’s property management career began in 2001 in Florida. She has served on the Board of Directors of the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) Oregon since 2002 and as President of BOMA Oregon in 2019. Michele joined in 2012 and manages 650,000 square feet of full-service office space. Michael holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and a Bachelor of Arts in French from the University of Rhode Island, as well as RPA, CPM and CCIM Real Estate designations.
Meg Perry was promoted to Senior Property Manager in our Portland office. Meg joined in 2016 and now oversees 15 properties in the company’s Portland portfolio, totaling 600,000 square feet of office and industrial space with 40 tenants. Meg holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Studies from the University of Wisconsin. She coordinates the Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW) Portland Chapter Marketing Committee and is an Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM) Certified Property Manager candidate.
Aaron D’Agostini was promoted to Senior Property Manager in our Portland office. Aaron started in 2016 and now oversees 13 properties in the company’s Portland portfolio, totaling more than 1.5 million square feet of office and industrial space including 60 mixed-use tenants. Aaron holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from California State University, San Marcos.

Betty Messner was promoted to senior property administrator in the Seattle office. Betty joined in 2012 having worked in our Phi offices for 8 years. She has an extensive background in both technology and customer service and will apply her expertise to managing the Fife properties and training new employees with programs and procedures. Everyone needs and deserves a place to live that is clean, maintained and safe. Better yet, it makes perfect sense to get someone else to pay your mortgage by giving them a bigger place at a higher price and sharing some resources.

Jason: Nice to hear from you. Lisa, I’m going to read a little bit of your bio. It says that you are the co-founder of two companies – both anchor real estate management companies, both completely unique in their contribution to the housing landscape. Nest DC was co-founded by Lisa Wise and Jim Pollack in 2009 at the start of the “Great Recession”.

Lisa: I used to live in Tucson, Arizona. I was going to graduate school there and I had an 1893 adobe duplex, which was the best place I’ve ever lived. I had a good degree in political economy and a long background primarily in political consulting, but I loved working with him. Having my hands and Adobe duplex is the best place in the world to work comfortably with your hands because nothing is square and everything is not made of clay. I liked the idea of being able to do one thing and then turn around and add evidence to the space. I worked on plumbing from patching roofs to painting. I feel like I’ve painted many, many, many square miles at this point. It was something that I think came really naturally to me and I enjoyed the process and working with my hands. I grew up in an environment where working with your hands was something you did.

The great thing about that duplex was when I asked my landlord if I could buy it and he said yes it was a duplex. I became a self-employed landlord and I loved it. It made perfect sense that someone else should pay my mortgage. It makes perfect sense to have someone in a big place at a great price and share some resources including a backyard, dog care, and all those kinds of things.
