We were both born and raised in GA, moved to Atlanta after graduating from Georgia Southern University and have lived in Cummings for the past 17 years. We decided to buy a lake house in Lake Lanier after spending the weekend renting a boat and visiting the Lake Lanier Water Park and had a great time with our 2 girls. After over a year of searching, we finally found what we think is an amazing lake house. We bought it in 2014 and spent the next couple of years remodeling almost the entire house to make it the ultimate lake house. We added larger windows to most of the rooms and added floor-to-ceiling windows to the entire back of the house that overlooks the large lake. We carefully planned the layout of the home to create a wide open air feel where the family can gather (and disperse when needed), entertain and enjoy the lake!
We searched for over a year to find a home with privacy, great lake views, convenient location to the boat park (Tidwell Boat Park), marina (Bald Ridge Marina) and water park (Lake Lanier Water Park) with “dryness”. -free” always deep water at the pier.
A very comfortable walk to the lake with a stone path. Also a nice, flat, large sandy beach area. Great view of Lake Lanier. Ski in, ski out, always deep water right off the dock. After living in Europe for several years, we decided to move back to my husband’s hometown of Atlanta and start a family. We enjoy hiking, biking, fishing and all kinds of water sports. The spacious master suite with its own veranda overlooking the lake is so unique. The view is beautiful and it is my favorite place to have my morning coffee. We love relaxing on the lower deck after a fun day at the lake, and nothing compares to an afternoon nap in the swing bed. After a long day on the water, it’s so nice to gather in the cozy kitchen and have a long conversation while cooking a meal together.
