Wynn brings a broad and diverse background to his role at Bay Property Management Group. While attending Stevenson University, studying Business Administration and Entrepreneurship, Wynn was a caddy and worked for outdoor operations at Caves Valley Golf Club. In addition, he interned at MFI Realty where he learned about the commercial property management sector. During this time he played a part-time role at JHL auctioneers, assisting with the preparations for real estate auctions. He is now a licensed real estate agent in the state of Virginia!

As Director of Business Development, Wynn is responsible for bringing in all new properties for the company. It promotes our management services to property owners and helps gather all the important information to set owners up for success.

A typical workday for Wynn begins with answering emails that come in overnight. He then follows up with potential owners reviewing management services and creates a game plan for the day to prioritize their tasks.
On a busy day, Wynn will schedule 3-4 home appointments, which include rental pricing, pre-inspections, and marketing photos. Then the end of each day is spent catching up on any emails he missed in addition to doing administrative tasks. According to Wynn, “
My phone and email are most active between 4:30pm and 6pm, so I always try to block out that time. So it gives me time to respond to inquiries immediately
“I love the spontaneity of work and not knowing what the day will bring. Every property is different and therefore a new challenge. You have to be quick on your feet and appeal to a wide range of owners. One minute I’ll be working with a major real estate investor to underwrite their 14-unit multi-family building, and the next I’ll be working with a husband and wife interested in renting out their home of 20 years as they head to Florida to retire. This makes it nearly impossible to fall into the habitual autopilot that many business people live in.

One thing that surprised Wynn about property management in Northern Virginia was how independent you can be in the industry. It often feels like your own small business within a larger business, he says.
According to Wynn, what sets Bay Property Management Group apart is that you’re not micromanaged. Bay Management Group is truly a collective team and every employee has a direct line to the upper management. Thus, everyone is allowed to voice their opinions.
On my first day as a leasing agent at BMG, I met with Nick Stone, president of Laurel Branch, and he said they have an open door policy. If I have a criticism or problem, I can come directly to him to discuss how to resolve it. This has remained true throughout my tenure at the company.”
His best advice for those considering this field is to be willing to work outside of normal business hours. Real estate is a 24/7 business and normal business hours do not apply. The typical client he deals with on a daily basis is not a real estate investor. On the contrary, they are diligent hosts. This means they can work on their 9-5 jobs during the weekdays. Thus, they only find time to deal with their rental housing needs outside of these hours.

JHL Constructors has been selected for the Jones Region Phase I infrastructure project. The project, located in Centennial, was awarded in October and is scheduled for completion in early May.
Selected by project owner Independent District Engineering Services for owner Brue Baukol Capital Partners, JHL will carry out horizontal and vertical construction works to build infrastructure to support future development at the site. This work included 12,000 cubic meters cut for site demolition and earth fill; Installation of 14,000-plus linear feet of wet and dry utilities; and 18,000 square feet of fully composite asphalt pavement.
Earthworks and utility installation will be self-executed by JHL’s infrastructure team, who will work closely with the Regional Transportation District and Ikea to maintain service access during construction.
