Hmp Property Management – Pearl Ellis, a clinical/community psychologist, joined the Harvard Mediation Program (HMP) as a community member in 1994 and served as clinical supervisor in 1999, replacing Michael Moffitt, HLS ’94 and former president of HMP. . Parel spent most of his college graduate education within ivy-covered walls (Radcliffe, Harvard, Yale), but found that some of his most important personal and professional development took place beyond those walls in places like the Harvard Mediation Program. During her tenure at HMP Parel, she passionately believed that the collaborative environment, the unique mix of students, community members, staff and faculty, and the challenges of working with diverse clients in conflict situations made HMP a Created an exceptionally supportive and encouraging community. Although no longer a member of HMP staff, Pearl returned to her community roots at HMP and continues to mediate and also serves on HMP’s advisory board.

Kyle Glover is a lecturer on law at Harvard Law School, a practicing attorney at the firm Pierce Atwood LLP, and a negotiation and dispute resolution consultant. Kyle teaches part of the Spring Negotiation Workshop at Harvard and is a faculty member of the Harvard Negotiation Institute, a week-long negotiation course for mid-career professionals. In his law practice, Kyle focuses on negotiating complex intellectual property and technology transactions, while his consulting practice focuses on designing and conducting workshops and retreats for for-profit and for-profit companies. In addition to a broad interest in the negotiation challenges and opportunities facing practicing lawyers, Kyle has a particular interest in the role that narratives and values play in conflict and conflict resolution. Kyle is a graduate of Harvard Law School, the Fletcher School at Tufts University, and the University of Chicago.

With degrees in political science (Brandeis University – BA) and art (Mass College of Art – MS), Gabrielle’s professional life has always been divided between these fields. Program administrator of the Harvard Mediation Program from 1983 to 2003, she oversaw the development of the program and field while learning mediation and training. Facilitative mediation training took him on a regular basis to Germany and Bulgaria, Croatia, Switzerland and Italy. He has trained, among others, the Boston Housing Authority and Fire Department, and the Boston and New York City Police Departments. Most recently, Gabriel co-authored “The German Jewish Cookbook: Recipes and History of a Cousin” with her daughter, Sonya Gruppmann. He wrote this book to research, preserve and share the foods of a culture that virtually no longer exists, except for families and individuals who remember the tradition. The book was published by Brandeis University Press in September 2017. Gabrielle welcomes visitors to her art studio in Somerville.

Margaret X. Huang is the ADR Coordinator for the NH Judicial Branch and oversees statewide court-affiliated mediation programs. As ADR Coordinator, she established policies to facilitate remote mediation and initiated the state’s court-affiliated landlord-tenant mediation program. Prior to joining the Judicial Branch in May 2020, she was Assistant Corporation Counsel for the New York City Law Department in their Brooklyn Family Division. In this role, Ms. Huang worked on several projects including collecting data on commercially sexually exploited children in the juvenile delinquency system and conducting research on restorative justice panels.

Ms. Huang first became interested in alternative dispute resolution during law school. While in law school, she volunteered as a mediator through the Harvard Mediation Program and arbitrated various small claims courts in the Greater Boston area. As a clinical student, Ms. Huang worked with the New Hampshire Judicial Branch to develop a consistent and effective dispute management approach for reopened divorce and parenting cases.

Margaret received her J.D. from Harvard Law School, and her B.A. in psychology and philosophy from New York University.

David G. Seibel is the co-founder and president of the conflict management firm Insight Partners and the nonprofit Insight Collaborative. He helps individuals and organizations define their key interests and find creative options to meet them. He is a trainer, consultant, mediator and professor in the areas of effective negotiation, communication, mediation and conflict resolution. Focusing on commercial and family contexts, Mr. Seibel’s dispute management practice includes extensive public and private services. Through the Insight Collaborative, he runs the Insight Fellowship Program, which provides conflict management education experiences for talented individuals, and the Insight Peace Education Project, which teaches conflict management skills to youth in post-conflict areas. .

Mr. Seibel teaches PON seminars, mediation and conflict management, and has served as adjunct faculty in negotiation at the Georgetown Law Center and the University of Massachusetts.
