From working with The Samaritan House in Virginia Beach, Virginia, along with industry groups and the Virginia Apartment Management Association, to volunteering for many hours for ForKids, a Chesapeake, VA-based nonprofit focused on breaking the cycle of homelessness and poverty for families and children . Jamie and his team organized games for the ForKids 2020 holiday campaign, moved foundation furniture from their old office to their new office earlier this year (on a very hot spring day!) and were proud to sponsor their fundraising endeavors such as the annual ForKids Art Auction. “It’s important to work together as a team, as a business family, to work in and with communities. In our industry, we work long hours, sometimes being with our work family more than our own. Jamie’s philosophy and mindset are also reflected in the low employee turnover in our team,” says Kane of his team and group ideology his area.
