Goodman Gals Property Management
Goodman Gals Property Management – Making the decision to sell your home is a task in itself. Then comes the process of molding it into what typical customers are looking for. Whether it’s a quick fix or something you can save for the weekend, here are 9 home projects you need to tackle before selling your home courtesy of Florida Realtors®.
Washing windows is something that is often put off, especially if you have children or pets. Make it a habit to stay on top of this as soon as your home starts showing.

There is cleansing and then deep cleansing. While most people have a typical housework routine, it’s important to give your space a thorough cleaning right before it goes on the market. Don’t forget the nooks and crannies!

Decluttering your space is one of those home projects that is beneficial in more ways than one. Not only does it leave you with less to hide during showings, but less stuff to transport and unpack when it’s time to move.
We love Fido and his Bark Box subscription, but potential customers might not. Try to minimize the amount of toys, beds, leashes and other pet items left around your property when trying to sell.
One of the easiest home projects to freshen up the interior of your home is to give the walls a fresh coat of paint. Cover any holes from hanging decor or scratches from moving furniture and be careful not to make new ones before closing.
The look of your closet can make or break the aesthetics of a room. Whether it’s outdated, stained, or missing doors, it might be time to upgrade your closets.

A backsplash can be a focal point or a finishing touch. Consider adding wallpaper in your kitchen, bathroom, laundry room, etc. Tip: Try to avoid busy patterns or eclectic designs specific to your personal taste so potential buyers can better imagine living in the space and make an impact on the space themselves.
Pests are uninvited guests in your home. While these critters are to be expected, especially while living in Florida, be sure to address your home’s pest situation and get it under control before the showing begins.
You can only make a first impression once, and the appeal of your home is the first thing everyone sees upon arrival. Whether you’re maintaining or upgrading, remember that outdoor landscaping makes a lasting impression during a trade show or open house.
Do you have questions about selling your home or any of the above home projects? Contact Water Pointe Realty Group and our agents will have the answers!

Water Pointe Realty Group congratulates Mark Eble for his participation in the Alzheimer’s Association Ride to End ALZ. A cycling event to help fight Alzheimer’s disease, Ride to End ALZ participants raise funds and awareness to advance research into the disease. This event took place July 8-10 in South Carolina.
Over the course of 5 weeks, Mark trained to ride more than 80 miles a day. Although much harder than expected, he was ready to complete the 260 mile Ride to End ALZ. “The frequent hills and brutal temperatures took their toll on this plain, but I was determined,” he said.
Mark started with a goal of raising $750, the minimum required to ride in the event. “I thought I’d just write a check for $750 and be done with it,” he explained. However, after sending a few emails and turning to social media, Mark was surprised to find how many people were willing to help. Friends, family, classmates, colleagues and fellow Water Pointers came together to help him raise $15,665 – the 5th highest total of the entire fundraiser.
His group with the Calder Brothers cycling team raised over $116,000. This is almost double the previous year, and the team has been named the biggest fundraiser for 2022. In total, the event of around 350 riders raised over $860,000 towards the fight to end Alzheimer’s disease. “I’m proud of what we’ve done,” Mark said. “I was beyond impressed and touched by the generosity… thank you to everyone who donated!”
