Capitola is home to one of the most unique eateries in the county: Shadowbrook. Since 1947, this restaurant has served the Capitola area with fine dining, wines and liquors. The atmosphere is spectacular – elegant wood and stone walls line the building with large windows overlooking Soquel Creek. In 1958, a red cable car was added to transport diners to the building. It has since become a Shadowbrook feature, and diners can still ride the gondola to this day.
For over 35 years, the Capitola community has come together to celebrate its annual Art & Wine Festival. For two days, Capitola Village will be filled with music, food, art and wine. Locals will explore the festivities, sample food and drink, and appreciate the work of over 160 artists on display.
