Located in the heart of the Brookings residential community, you are just steps away from the many activities that Brookings has to offer. Just a short drive away you’ll find Harris Beach State Park with remarkable beach scenes and a long stretch of sandy beach – perfect for beach hunting and kite flying. Wander and explore Brookings Harbor, which is home to commercial and recreational boats and a nice commercial district and boardwalk to tour. Surrounded by water on almost all sides, Chetco Point Park offers plenty of sandy beaches and green lawn space to run and play. Azalea Park is easily found just east of the highway before crossing the river. This is a community center complete with play equipment for children, sports fields, a performance stage, picnic areas and more!

The 40 Ocean Winds unit complex is a NON-SMOKING affordable housing project, designated for family, senior or disabled individuals who are able and desire to live independently.
The project contains 8 one-bedroom apartments, 16 two-bedroom townhouse apartments, 8 two-bedroom apartments and 8 three-bedroom apartments. All the apartments have a kitchen, dining room and a living room. Handicapped units have ADA approved showers, recessed light switches and appliances designed for wheelchair users.
Recreation Room – A multi-purpose room is available for meetings, parties, hobby/craft classes or the like. The recreation room also known as a multi-purpose room is located in the same building as the rental office.
Coastal Cozy Townhome
Laundry Services – A coin-operated laundry room is located near the rental office and is for the use of all residents occupying a one-bedroom unit. The 2-3 bedroom units are equipped with laundry facilities in the unit.
Waiting List – We usually fill our vacancies from a waiting list. To be placed on the Ocean Winds Apartments waiting list, a completed application must be submitted. Written notice will be sent stating eligibility. We do not charge an application fee, but there is a small fee for a credit and criminal check that is done during application.
Ocean Winds rents are based on rural development and tax credit income and rent schedules set forth by the state of Oregon, and USDA rural development.
It is important to keep us informed of your phone number and address should the application information change. If we cannot contact you by phone, you may be removed from the waiting list.
