Do NOT rent from Bosshardt. They are the worst company I have ever met. Their management is extremely rude. I rented a house from them for 13 months. When I moved in, there was broken glass and workers’ remains scattered all over the yard. There were cobwebs, dirt and dust all over the house. (I moved in at the start of Covid so there was no final walk). I called Bosshardt the day after I moved in about this and was told Florida, the lease says you are in charge of pest control. In the first month of my life there, the house was flooded. They should have put it down the drain; however, they only extended the gutters to drain the water away from the house. My brand new mattress was ruined. The kitchen drain was leaking all over the picture. Nothing has been replaced. When I moved out they tried to tell me I left the door open.. ha! There was no internet access (the old one was left in the yard), when I called them about it they said I should have noticed and demanded that I pay and have Cox come and install the coax. The neighbors were building a pool, they had to remove the trees inside my fence. I came home to random people, cut trees in my yard and knocked down a fence. Bosshardt never informed me that this was happening and never responded to my emails regarding it. I terminated the lease earlier and paid a total of $2,805 in costs. I found new tenants for the property who signed a new lease, paid Bosshardt a $3,000 deposit and moved in. I knew Bosshardt was bad, but I had no idea they could be like this. I feel so terrible about the tenants I found. If I had known, I would not have knowingly put someone under contract with such a terrible company as Bosshardt. Before moving out, I had the property professionally cleaned, potholes filled and painted where needed, lawn trimmed and left the property in FAR BETTER condition than when I moved in. I did not give up the lease; I did not destroy property and always paid on time. I heard NOTHING from Bosshardt after paying a total of $2,805, forfeiting the $1,095 deposit and returning the keys, but a month later I received a certified letter stating that I owed $620.56 in additional charges. (They even charged me for a certified letter). Every encounter I have had with Bosshardt Property Management, especially their manager, Glennette, has been terrible at best. PLEASE stay away from this company. They don’t care about renters, they are greedy and have no shame in taking your money. I was warned that Bosshardt was one of the worst management companies in the area, but I really liked the house and decided it was worth it. I’m eating my words now. There are so many other options available in Gainesville that will save you the trouble, money and headache of dealing with this property management company.
