Sally Backus Broker and President Sally was born and raised in Monterey County and is a graduate of Notre Dame High School and Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. She has over 36 years of experience in real estate and property management. She is an active member in a variety of local associations, particularly the National Association of Property Managers (NARPM). She has reached the position of Chief Property Manager and was the 65th person in the country to do so. She was also a NARPM certified trainer in property management, and a frequent speaker across the country in her areas of expertise. Bill Backus Vice President and Broker Associate Bill was born and raised in Monterey County and is a graduate of Chico State University. He has been involved in real estate for the past 14 years and is an active member of the Monterey County Association of Realtors and the National Association of Residential Property Managers. Michele is a California native and also a graduate of Chico State University. She has been associated with Backus Properties for 9 years, starting part time in an administrative role and being promoted to property management assistant. He became licensed three years ago and now manages the largest portfolio with great finesse. Actually, her assistant Daisy deserves credit too. They are the office you see when you walk in the door and Daisy is bilingual too.
Cindy was born and raised in Salinas and is a graduate of Salinas High School. She came to Backus Properties from Smith Property Management and has over 14 years of experience in residential and commercial property management and is an active member of the National Association of Residential Property Managers.

We are responsible for 30 days’ rent from the date notification is received at Backus Property Management. The lease has not yet expired. We understand that we are responsible for the rent until new tenants assume that a rent obligation is acceptable to the owner.
