Girlfriend and I live in Cortez and the new manager really cares. We were almost kicked out, but she said – Mechel will help with resources. At first she pissed us off, but in the end we are so thankful she was there for us. we have never had an apartment manager like her. We are very lucky after all these reviews with bad managers. Terrible communication. never can contact anyone there terrible communication. i can never connect with anyone there

Called to look at a property, for the first time they let the phone ring all the way without answering. The second time (right after the first attempt) someone answered right away and spoke very fast and sounded super annoyed (and probably only answered because I was calling a second time) .. he said someone else needed to help me and that he needed to transfer me – once again the phone just rang and went to voicemail so I called (immediately) to tell the person that whoever transferred me was not answering and asked if there was anyone else who could help, and again they just let the phone ring without answering!!! Extremely unprofessional. Obviously their workers are not interested in being there and they are not interested in helping the residents/future residents. The service from this management company is terrible, they take over 30 days to fix the problems, no cleaning, no extermination services, places with roaches and trash. This is owned by the MGMT company above where I live. They ignore support requests, don’t answer the phone and have very rude employees, I am disabled and have been asked to pay my rent online for the past three years and they won’t even acknowledge me. So when my rent isn’t paid, even though I try to communicate with them, they subject me to eviction. My apartment caused me physical health problems ie. black mold with my emphysema and have been severely depressed and stressed since moving in. I even almost attempted suicide. I was even verbally and physically attacked, robbed many times and the only time they had anything to say or do to me was to ask for money or kick me out. I have tried numerous times to speak to ownership and they have ignored me. I had holes in my walls, mold growing on the walls, water leaks, huge rats clogging sinks, electrical problems, etc. They never did anything and violated fair housing by ignoring my rights as a disabled person.
