Boris started in 1980 and, in recent years, has been responsible for the growth and strategic development of the company. He retired as CEO at the end of 2017 but continues to work with the executive team to define the company’s strategic vision.

John joined the company in 2002. John holds a Juris Doctorate from the University of Colorado and a BA in Business Finance and Spanish from Colorado State University. He began his career as a commercial banker, practiced law for seven years, and, immediately before joining, managed a publicly traded parking lot company.

Emily holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Colorado in business and administration and received her CPA license in 1998. Emily’s prior experience includes auditing and assurance positions with PricewaterhouseCoopers and controllership with Graphic Packaging International, Surefoot, and Oakwood Homes. Emily leads the company’s offices in human resources, information technology, and accounting/finance.

Marko was born as an entrepreneur. He established and developed many companies in many sectors. Marko received a bachelor’s degree in business finance from Colorado State University. In 2011, he founded a commercial construction company that focuses primarily on multi-family homes and office properties. He sold the company in 2016 and joined in 2017.

The move is perfect! Love the office staff here. Met them in the beginning when I looked at the house and then online. All perfect. Completely copacetic. I went around Pine Village while looking around the Fayetteville area. I saw the new house and the virtual tour and was very impressed. The application process was flawless, Catherine (customer service specialist) was very sweet and helpful in the office! I love how close the store is but you can’t tell because of the location. I also really know the pet policy. I’m in one of the new units and it’s awesome. My kids love it too. Overall, I would give the entire experience I had with the community a 10/10. thank you!

The staff on the maintenance team here are the nicest, kindest, most efficient people I’ve ever met. I hope I have enough money to throw them a party! They work hard, and are always picking things up to make it a nicer place and always friendly and polite. We are also very pleased with the new management. Lombardi: Our marketing strategy does not differ from state to state. The goal is to provide affordable, modern homes for working families no matter what state they live in. We use property ads to capture drive-in and walk-in traffic, partner with various Internet listing services, direct all traffic to our property websites and continue to enhance our social media presence.

While the demand for manufactured housing is increasing, the sector still has a reputational problem, the development of new communities is hindered by the spirit of not being in my home. What can be done to overcome this obstacle?

Lombardi: Manufactured housing communities have proven to be the strongest solution to help our nation meet the need for affordable housing. I would encourage municipalities to work with developers to create planned communities they are excited about, rather than missing valuable housing components for their communities.

I think it is important for the developer to present a plan for development that includes quality amenities, wide open spaces, landscape plans, barriers to provide privacy and noise control – perimeter walls, fences – set standards regarding the age and quality of the home inventory, and. A management plan that ensures quality control in the future.

Lombardi: If a community gets a bad review from a landlord, it’s probably the same reason a business or property gets a bad review – location, cleanliness, frustration with neighbors or lack of customer service. Our goal is to listen to our residents, both homeowners and renters, and run a community that everyone is proud to call home.

How can manufactured home owners and managers break the stigma and position their superior products as better quality, lower cost housing options?

Lombardi: It all starts with creating a community where people want to live. Lombardi: We must communicate, manage and market our properties and relationships in an unknown environment. Open houses have turned into virtual shows, resident events become virtual or held within local social distancing requirements. The need for large units with extra bedrooms to accommodate working and learning from home has become our most desired unit. Our marketing strategy and target audience haven’t changed, we just changed the call to action to what our prospects want when looking for a new place to live.

With many MHCs employed in sectors hit hard by the wave of unemployment, how does your company work with tenants facing job losses?

Lombardi: We have offered a late payment plan, waived late fees and partnered with local schools to bring meals to our residents while schools are not in session. Realizing that many residents cannot afford internet service, we set up a Wi-Fi hotspot so that their children can attend school via Zoom.
