Appleone Helps Clients Find Top Talent
In fast-growing economies, businesses grow stronger and faster. However, this situation has also caused the rise and fall of many institutions and forced businesses to innovate in order to survive; just as Charles Darwin theorized, “it’s the survival of the fittest.” Today, the most capable business facility is one that can yield to ever-changing consumer demands. Brought about by the confluence of cultures and technology, consumer needs can change 360 degrees at any moment. When consumer needs change, so do demands. Therefore, businesses must learn how to bow where the wind blows.
The International Working Group (IWG) clearly understands the dynamics of economics, society and even politics; and, it has made it its mission to respond to the needs of businesses, so that they can ultimately provide for the needs of their clients as well. IWG does this by giving people and businesses access to commercial real estate solutions through an unrivaled selection of workspaces from its operating companies: Regus, Spaces, HQ and Signature by Regus; each designed to serve the unique needs of businesses of every size. With a membership fee of only six thousand pesos (PhP6, 000.00), a business can have access to shared workspaces anywhere in the world where they can hold meetings, discuss transactions or simply focus on work. With more than 30 years of experience, IWG saw the potential of co-working spaces in the Visayas and Mindanao.
With its vision to provide the best workspaces in the region, IWG has partnered with Apple One Properties, Inc. (API), Cebu’s leading name in real estate development and real estate sales. API has always kept its portfolio diverse and relevant recognizing the growing demand for flexible workspaces and mixed-use developments in prime business districts in the Visayas.
In December 2018, API signed a franchise partnership agreement with IWG for eight centers in six cities in the Visayas for five years. This is the first in Southeast Asia. The signing ceremony was held at the Diamond Hotel and Suites and was attended by Matthew James Kenly, Head of Partnership Development for IWG Asia Pacific; Rowena B. Natividad, Head of Partnership Development for IWG Philippines; Lars Wittig, Country Manager for IWG Philippines | Thailand | Vietnam | Cambodia | North Korea; Ray Manigsaca, API CEO and President; and, Venus Manigsaca, president of API.
International Workplace Group And Apple One Properties Inc. Redefines Commercial Real Estate In The Visayas
The six cities identified are Cebu City, Lapu-Lapu City, Mandaue City, Dumaguete City, Iloilo City and Bacolod City. Kenly strongly believes that the partnership will strengthen the economy in the region by creating more jobs inside and outside the centers. Kenly goes on to say that centers in major business districts will also improve productivity and provide more opportunities for local residents. API’s Rey Manigsaca is very excited about the partnership as the services and office market is a very large untapped market and with the IWG partnership Manigsaca believes they can bring world-class facilities and workspace flexibility benefits to the region.
Lars Wittig considers that the reason why Visayas has the highest potential in the country is because of its ever-advancing economy; and, as the capital region becomes too congested, businesses move to the central Philippines. Additionally, access to the central Philippines is much easier with its state-of-the-art international ports and airports, making logistics much easier in the area. Wittig also expresses his gratitude to the politics and government administration in that place because it is very supportive of businesses.
The six API and IWG centers will join the global IWG network of 3,400 centers in 120 countries. In the Philippines, IWG has 28 centers in ten cities in Metro Manila, Clark, Cebu and Davao. With the upcoming six centers in the Visayas, API and IWG are sure to make the region Southeast Asia’s newest business and trade hub. This is a really exciting way to start the year, exciting for our economy and exciting for the people of the Visayas.

The history of trade dates back to the oldest civilization. People had to cross seas or travel far and wide to get their needs in exchange for anything of value. Ancient ways of doing business led to the development of new cultures and new societies, as merchants settled in foreign lands and discovered new places to expand their enterprises. However, in the present, businessmen do not have to travel far, nor cross seas; with just a scroll and a click, the business transaction is signed, sealed and delivered. Doing business in the comfort of one’s home, office, bedroom, or even on one’s favorite couch has been driven by the advancement of mobile applications.
So how are mobile apps shaping the way businesses work? First, the list includes improved, more accurate and faster means of communication. Previously, we had to send emails or electronic mail to communicate agreements and transfer contracts back and forth. This means that communication takes time to get the message across. Moreover, there is a high risk of losing the message on the way. However, with mobile applications it is easier and faster to communicate with your customers and business partners. The best business apps have special features
