A great place for families to enjoy lakeside fun, special dinners and plenty of room for kids and adults to relax and play. The rental property is located between the Champlain Valley and the ADK High Peaks area of the Adirondacks National Park. You are 50 minutes from Lake Placid and Whiteface Mountain in the heart of the High Peaks Wilderness. It is about an hour’s drive from Burlington, VT to the east and Montreal, Canada to the north.
The 4 bedroom, 3.5 bathroom property sits on 2 acres overlooking Lake Augur and comfortably sleeps up to 15 people. There is plenty of meeting space for all ages and landing decks in all bedrooms. The oversized master bedroom upstairs has a King bed and windows overlooking the lake, sliding doors to the deck and an oversized jetted tub in the master bath with amazing views on 2 sides. It also has a futon/bed and an adjoining walk-in closet that also has a double bed for sleeping.
Upstairs there are two additional bedrooms with comfortable queen beds, nice linens, plenty of storage and both also walk out onto the deck.
Lakefront Real Estate
The 4th bedroom is on the lower level of the house and has a queen bed and a bunk bed. The lower level of the house has its own fully equipped kitchen, as well as a living room / game room that has a double futon in it. On this floor there is a laundry room and a door to outdoor seating by the path to the lake. The house sleeps a total of 15!
The main floor of the house is spacious with room for everyone. You will find a fully equipped kitchen, a dining area and an adjacent sitting area with a gas stove. All these spaces are open to each other and flooded with natural light from windows and sliding glass doors all around. All spaces have access to the wrap around deck. There is a comfortable family/TV room located on the main level of the house which is located at the back so it feels a little more private and quiet, perfect for reading a book or watching a movie.
A winding wooded path connects the house to its private waterfront (note: the path is several hundred feet long). The waterfront is amazing, you can spend the whole day here. It’s a large, flat grassy area with a fire pit and picnic table – big enough to accommodate everyone enjoying sunbathing, playing games, eating lunch or taking boats out on the water and climbing…. ! For the more adventurous campers in the group, there is plenty of room to set up tents near the fire pit.
The swimming pool is suitable for families with children, with an entrance to the water made of soft pea gravel and a dock for swimming.
